9 months!

Just had to post a few pics of Claire! Can't believe she is 9 months old. The time has gone incredibly fast, but every moment with her is awesome...(Especially changing dirty diapers that go clear up the back minutes after she is bathed and ready for the day...Totally awesome...That happened today. Pretty sure it's because of the antibiotic they gave her. (Poor girl has the runs.)

Anyway, she had a mild case of RSV this week and man was it sad. I felt so helpless. There were lots of moments within the week that made me think about how lucky I am to have a child who will get better and who will be healthy within a week or two. I really am so blessed!!!!

Anyway... At 9 months Claire weighs 19 lbs 13 oz and is in the 68 percentile. (Although I know for a fact she has lost some weight this week, hopefully she will put it back on soon!) She is 28.5 inches long and is in the 81% for height. She is doing so much right now and I wish I could just video her all day long so I don't forget a thing, but every time we even try to pull the camera out she stops doing whatever it is we are trying to get on tape. Jake says we just need to burn it into our memory because we're never going to get it on tape. I don't want to ever forget her adorable laugh and her front teeth that sort of look like fangs every once in a while. She has 2 teeth on bottom, but 4 on top. She is definitely learning to use those puppies too. All I can say is Ouch!!! She loves standing on everything and is becoming more and more mobile every day. She definitely has become more of a mama’s girl, but I think that was accentuated while she was sick as well. The girl loves watching baby Einstein and there were a couple nights this week that it was the only thing that calmed her down. We just sat and watched all those weird things bounce across the screen at 3 am. That was also pretty awesome! She is a snuggler...At least with me. In the mornings we just lie in bed and snuggle the morning away. That really is my favorite time of day. She will also lay her head on our shoulders when we ask her for snuggles. That is seriously fun and I love that she understands what we are saying to her. She is an awesome eater and most of the time will eat anything we give her. She loves sucking on oranges and seriously screams bloody murder when we take them away from her. She has been saying DaDa lately and I know secretly Jake thinks she is saying it in reference to him, but won't admit it because he makes fun of me for secretly believing when she says mama it's in reference to me...Ha HA. She loves her Dad and it has been so fun for me to watch him with her. He loves her so much and you can just see the admiration he feels for her in his eyes. She has his same tickle bug. She is ticklish on her legs, feet, belly, and armpits, even her neck. Pretty much everywhere, just like her dad. She loves being outside and the cold doesn’t seem to bother her a bit. (That is pretty much opposite of her Dad) She LOVES walking while holding onto our hands. She gets the biggest grin and it’s pretty much adorable.

Anyway, I am amazed at how much she grows and learns on a daily basis. It’s crazy to me, but I am so glad I get to watch her progress and grow. It’s a joy!!!

I LOVE YOU little Claire! Happy 9 months (almost ten now, but what can you do?)

Her famous open mouth smile! (It's famous to us at least)

Getting so good at balancing...She can stand on her own for probably 20 seconds or so. I love watching her concentrate while she does it.

Just hanging in the highchair.

She loves our bed more than hers.

YEah...Happy Valentines day to me...She was going crazy that night with the bites/kisses...She thought it was the funniest thing ever!

Claire putting her arms up when we ask her to.

I can't get enough of those eyes!

Or that smile!

And she crawls!!!!

I tried to post a video of her crawling, but couldn't get it to work so this pic will do for now. Her first real crawl was on Sunday, January 16th at Grandma Susie's and Grandpa Wades. Pretty much 8 months exactly. It was fun that so many were there to see it. She has also been pulling herself up on anything she can... has started walking around the coffee table (slowly, but surely)...Mimics us...puts her arms up in the air when we tell her too....Will eat anything and everything we give her...She definitely has her mom's sweet tooth. Her current favorites are frozen yogurt and Oatmeal. (don't worry, I don't give her to much frozen yogurt, but I can't seem to eat it in front of her and not let her have some. What kind of mom would I be if I didn't share right???) She has two teeth on the bottom and two that just broke through on the top....She loves to grab my face and try to bite...I love it and just pretend she is giving hers truly kisses:) However, I do think she is somewhat learning what kisses are...Maybe? or maybe it's just in my mind? Either way i can't get enough of those slobbery smooches.
Anyway, she is so full of personality and very busy!!! I am already nervous for when she starts walking. Hopefully I will be able to keep up with her! There are so many other things I need to write down, but for now this is good!!!!
Happy January everybody!!!

Claire has had an exciting few months...

She went on her first road trip to Boise where we found this upon arrival...

(All cleaned up and on a walk by the Boise River! It's beautiful there!)

She wore her hair in a ponytail for the very first time....

Wore her first Halloween costume and attended her first Halloween party...

Learned to do this trick with her Daddy....

Got her very first haircut...

Learned to sit up on her very own.....

Experienced her first time sitting in the snow....

(the cold did not seem to bother her one bit!)

Had her first Thanksgiving and her first taste mashed potatoes.
(Pretty sure potatoes will be one of her favorite foods)

Went to see Santa with cousin Eliza and Finn....
(She was laughing pretty much the entire time.)

She has also gotten her two bottom teeth and mastered the MA MA MA's and BA BA BA's. She is my little Angel, I can't seem to get enough of her.....

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. I am sure thankful for this little family of mine...I love them.

Saw this quote on a friends blog and loved it! Had to share!
Thanks Ju!

Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.

4 months!

4 MONTHS!!!

Weight; 14 LBS 5 OZ 67th percentile
Height; 25 1/4 inches 85th percentile

Okay so.... Claire is really 4 1/2 months now, but who is counting right?????
Ahh who am I kidding? I count daily. I can not believe how fast time is going. Everyday I think about how someday this little angel of mine is going to be a teenager and probably not even like me anymore. How can this be? She is so perfect...So innocent. I worry about everything she has to learn in this life. How do I teach her, I mean really teach her right from wrong? As much as I LOVE being a mom there has not been a day that's gone by where I haven't wondered if I am doing it "right." Does everybody feel this way or is it just me????

ANYHOW...

Claire has changed so much the past few months. Here are a few of the things I can think of. She loves her feet. Whenever she lays on her back those are the first things to her mouth! She also grabs for anything that you have in your hands! She prefers those things over any toy given to her! (I personally thought that wouldn't happen for a while longer.) She loves smacking her lips together and kicks those legs like crazy!!! She has learned to roll from front to back and talks a ton.... I wake up to it most morning and I honestly can't think of anything I would rather wake up too. I also didn't think I would ever have to take my baby out of a church meeting because she was talking to loud. I love it!!! She no longer likes to fall asleep laying in our arms...She likes to be held up and then gradually lays her head on our chest/shoulders. (This is my favorite time of the day) She smiles anytime Jake and I walk in the room. It's heart melting really. One of her smiles (my favorite) is one when she opens her mouth super wide and starts breathing really fast. I think she does this so much because she knows we love it!!!! My favorite of all her cries is her fake closed mouth cry... It's hilarious and sad all at the same time. Claire has also become quite the communicator. She definitely lets us know when she needs something and has really started to show her own preferences. Her personality is really starting to come through and it is so fun to see her growing and progressing. We love her so much, she brings so much happiness to our home and I can't imagine life without this little one!!!!

And now for some photos......
(probably a few to many)
I may have gone a little crazy and taken a few to many, but I just had to
document the 4 month mark!!!

Jake is the best at getting this little one to sleep!

Can somebody please tell me how a baby can go from this....

to this....

In a matter of a few months?

Or from this....

to this....

In a matter of a few seconds?
It's mind boggling really... and it's crazy how fast time goes!

We definitely couldn't love her more!!!
